CCHL Recap | Colts Win in Second Overtime Thursday

Ottawa, ON – On Thursday night the Cornwall Colts hosted the Hawkesbury Hawks for the first game of their series. The game went all the way to a second overtime which had the Colts find the back of the net winning 3-2.

The scoring opened with Brayden Bowen netting one for Cornwall in the 1st period, answered by Alex Fournier from Hawkesbury in the 2nd period. The back-and-forth continued with Fernand-Olivier Perron scoring for Cornwall in the same period, and Deklyn Campbell equalizing for Hawkesbury in the 3rd. With no scoring in the 1st overtime, tension escalated into the 2nd OT where Luc Beliveau sealed the win for Cornwall. Goaltenders Dimitri Pelekos (Hawkesbury) and Donald Hickey (Cornwall) showcased their skills with 43 and 32 saves.
